Brought to you by The Melusine’s Co-Founders,
Wade Mundford & Theodore Kyriakou, the pontoon pop-up is to mark not only a celebration of summer but a revival of eating out for locals, Londoners and visitors to the City, post lockdown.
Avalon is the mythical island that female water spirit Melusine was taken to by her mother from the sacred river Thames, the lifeblood of London, and is symbolic of the rich history of St. Katharine Docks.
The Docks was once the floating centre of luxury goods from across the world including china, hops, marble, silk, perfume, shells and spices, and has seen many transformations from medieval hospital to leading global Victorian warehouses to ruins from the Blitz to become the lively waterside community of today.
OUR FOOD AND DRINK
Inspired by The Melusine’s very own ethos of boat to plate fish and seafood, caught daily by fisherman boats around the Isle, sample dishes will include: two different types of oyster, Scottish langoustines, Spider Crab and home cured fish as well as bigger plates of grilled octopus, hand-dived scallops and pan-roasted fish served approx.by weight with seasonal vegetables.
